Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.-Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government.

With reference to the paragraph taken from the declaration of independence, we as world citizens need to ask why are the people in the Middle East and China suffering a great deal without a fault of their own? Why do people tolerate such governments that unleash brute force on their own people so as to act for the self-preservation of their government and to constantly hold the reins of power? These evil governments, such as the case is in Syria and most likely in China as well, feed on the tax money, money that is provided by the people to the government they themselves have constituted, in order to feed their own greed and lust for power.

Let us now take the case in Syria. More than half of the population of this country is displaced currently due to the brutal civil war that has left the people of this country to fend for themselves. What did the people of this country do to deserve such a brutal treatment from the very government that seems hell bent to continue to remain in power and thus succeed in increasing the plight of their people manifold? It is the moral duty of such defunct government to abdicate their seat of power and give chance to the people, who after securing their lives and property, have a level playing field to constitute a new government of their own.

Now let us see what is taking place in the People’s Republic of China. The quasi communist government that has a stranglehold in the PRC has also drowned itself in corruption and is now battling terrorism in some of its provinces, diverting valuable resources and efforts in fighting such insurgents. While the one party system that is the status quo now in China needs to be commended in bringing out millions of people out of poverty and showing way for envious growth and examples of economic progress that has forced the world to take notice; however, when one analyses such a growth story that China has emulated, isn’t it fair also to say that millions still are in poverty in China and the fruits of economic development haven’t reached all the people and the poorest people are still poor, inspite of what the communist government is doing in China. These very people are also acting for their self-preservation and are using the money meant for the people of China for meeting their own greed and satisfying their own lust for power and authority.

Whatever happened in the Chinese capital in the summer of 1989 June month, when voice of a majority of their youth had been brutally suppressed, thinking that nobody would dare to raise their voice of what they are doing to the people of this failed communist model state, perpetrators of such gruesome tactics should understand that people infact have an excellent memory and the people don’t forget and sadly, when provoked, people don’t forgive as well. It is in this context, the horrors that the PCR has perpetrated on the Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR), should be meant to been seen as a warning sign that when the people will rise to demand their rights of determining their own fate, those living in the false comfort zones of power and prestige would be overthrown ruthlessly.

The cowards of the members of the ISIL should also be warned that they now form the part of the forces of evil, and the retribution against them would be swift and ruthless as well. However, the onus as rightly pointed out by Barak Obama, president of the United States, lies on the people of Iraq and Syria so that they can see reason and defeat the evil forces who want to divide them on the basis of creed and religion. While international help will be always with them in their times of crisis, it is now the responsibility of the middle eastern people of Iraq and Syria to take the charge in determining their own course, after their apprehensions and fears of security have been removed.

I also urge the people of Pakistan to heed the voice of reason make peace with India at the earliest, so that when the time comes when Indian people will want to hold the hand of their Pakistani counterparts, the distance to be bridged should not be such that it is impossible to hold hands and express solidarity and the ultimate reunification of the hearts and minds of the people of the Indian subcontinent, who were dispersed and divided due to some unfortunate circumstances.

At the end, let us as world citizens emphasize the fact that repression of the people in any form cannot be tolerated by the people, especially if the perpetrators are acting in the form of a government constituted by the people; for the people may err in their judgment, but the Almighty never errs when he shows retribution and wields the sword of justice on the evil forces.
