Do you believe in God? God exists? Why there are so many religions? Why our prayers are answered in one form or the other?
There are so many questions which have to be answered. I believe in God and something really happened and I became religiously attached to Him. After my daddy, there was no one left in our family to offer prayers to God in the morning and evening. As mom was not well, she was also surprised that she had not harmed anyone then why God had given her such a life without her partner. In the beginning I used to light a diya in the evening. But when we moved to our own house I was not regular at all. The time was not good during that time. There was a financial crunch. Dad had not left us with any finances so that we can easily live without any hassles. There was no bread earner as mom was a house wife. We all three were studying during that time. In our neighborhood, there was an aunty who used to offer prayers regularly in the morning and evening and she also had a big photograph of Devi Durga. One day I went to visit her house and saw that. Suddenly I went to the city to search for a similar picture and I got it finally which I framed and kept that in my mandir. It is still there and I asked my mom to keep that picture as it is in the mandir if I am there or not. After getting it framed I was regular for my prayers, and believe me, whenever I am in trouble Devi Maa is always with me. After that during my college years I got so many students that it was a great help for all of us to get settled in our life. My brothers were not so regular during that time but slowly and gradually as it is there in our blood, all my family members started offering prayers regularly.
One more incident I remember that I had a picture of Devi Lakshmi, in which elephants are showering water on the Goddess. That very impression appeared on the wall of our house during Diwali when there was whitewash in our home. It was amazing, and our neighbors also saw that. So we believe that there is some supernatural power which exists. And we people are not restricted to any one religion which is taught by our parents. It is the fact that He is the one in place of dad, who is helping us in every phase of life. Someone has rightly said that God helps those who help themselves which I have seen in my life…..
