If we imagine a college life it is youth, colorful, happiness, love , enjoyment and what not? But it is not same for those people when responsibilities come on their shoulders. My college life started and I had to go around 20 kms from my place to college. If I would say, I had to start at 8 in the morning, I reached my college at 11am. Everyday our Chemistry lectures were missed when Sir was teaching Organic Chemistry and then we had to rush for collecting notes. But it was useless for me I used to prepare my notes on my own. One day he was teaching a combined lot of Biology and Maths students when we reached late and slowly we sat at the end. He admired our presence by saying that you people were like VIPs and everyone had noticed. The students in that college were from rural areas and they hardly speak English there. We were convent educated so if we need to ask anything in any Practical of Physics and Chemistry we would speak in English and our colleagues said that can’t you say that in Hindi? The boys were so bakwaas there that you can’t even think that you are studying in a co-ed college. We were left with no option other than studies.

After the college was over by 2.30 or 3pm , usually we bunked the lectures, we had to board a city bus to reach another town. My friends used to leave me there. Then I had to walk 2 to 3 km to take another bus for my place. Everyday it is around 5 pm that I reached home. My students used to wait for me and after I had tea with my class I used to teach them by 7pm or 8pm. It was so hectic during those days. As I was a Science student, I used to get up early in the morning for my self-study. Honey was in XII and Chuttan was in tenth grade while I was doing my graduation. I used to ask both of them to wake up early in the morning with me for their studies. But as usual after having bed tea, specially in winters Honey used to sleep after half an hour and Chuttan was already snoring in his quilt until and unless I gave him a tight one to open his eyes. It was so funny. Chuttan always wanted to enjoy his sleep which anyone wants to enjoy in the early morning hours. But I used to count my years which were left to complete my education so that I can stand on my feet to fulfill the needs of my family.
