Within a month we were asked to vacate the factory’s quarter. Our house was not ready lest we could have moved into that. But mamaji went everyday and helped us a lot in its construction so as to make that comfortable for us to shift there. One day when we came back from school, my mom prepared lunch for us and said she didn’t have any interest in cooking at all. Even she was not keeping well, her health was getting worse day by day. At that moment Saroj aunty told her that you need to live for your children now.

We realized the role of father in one’s life within a month only. Daddy used to keep the refrigerator full with cold drinks, apple juice, fruits specially mangoes, litchis , jam , butter, sweets etc. and in his absence it had only water bottles. We usually had minimum three recipes in our lunch and dinner. Now we were having either khichdi or matar chawal in lunch because she didn’t feel like cooking. Whenever we used to go for shopping we took UHD 999 and enjoyed travelling in it. But now we took city buses to move in the city. Once I saw one child was addressing her daddy and then I realized that I would not be able to call my father as Daddy now’ in person and that was so painful…. After a month we moved to our own house. From Home, the main road was too far so we had to walk two km everyday in the morning and afternoon to take bus for school. We always had a tutor for our studies from the beginning but now we were managing our studies ourselves. I had always scored well in my exams but  I was upset to see the result of my Half Yearly examinations. I was failing in Physics, Chemistry. Even I was not paying attention to Chuttan’s studies who was also not performing well in studies. Whenever mausi used to visit home she got fruits , sweets along with her and we had a party .

There was no enjoyment left in the life of all four of us. I was utilizing my time regularly for my studies but Honey and Chuttan didn’t. Then one of my neighbor asked what subjects I was studying and I told them that I give tuitions to small kids. At that point, I got the first student of my life, Guddu and Deepu.

I taught during the entire year of my class XI. I got some pocket money which helped me a lot. Our neighbors were really genuine people. God had sent them to help us.
