Difference Between Individualism, Self-Interest, and Enlighted Self-Interest

This blog is concerning the decline of the western civilization. For the benefit of novices, western civilization, as erudited by the learned scholars, includes the region stretching from the Americas to the Himalayas, the natural demarcation between the Western Civilization and the Oriental Culture. This write -up should be seen in the light of immenent clash between civilizations, long started, and the interplay between the western, islamic, and oriental cultures, the push and pull to settle the dynamics between them and the constant interference of the ‘other kind’ at regular intervals to shape the narrative unfolding on ‘spaceship earth’.

There is a precise convergence between the push and pull happening between the three main entities in the form of western ethos and culture, the eventual setting sun of the militant Islam, (no islamophobia intended), and the Oriental culture, and the decisive nature of this dynamics is an outcome that is yet to be settled.

In this ccontext, the philosophy of objectivism, its convulated nature in the present time-frame, how the dynamics between the evil of collectivization as expereinced by host of stellar entities ranging from Ayn Rand to Joseph Brodskey, and several other lumaniries, how the second world war unfolded, giving human-kind just a tralier of things that may unfold if the corrective actions put in place don’t work out as intended, needs to be looked with a fresh perspective to forge the way ahead.

Espoused by the American dream, the relation between the earstwhile Great Britian and the Settlers of the American Republic, the philosophy of individualsim has been turned on its head, where self-interest has replaced the enlighted self-interest, and the result can be seen in the decadance and decay that western civilization is facing, and its impact (read in the context of the great acceleration). The balant disregard of the mother nature and the rape and plunder of the bestowed resourcces, represented by a highly egoistic and individualist individualism, eclipsing currently the enlighted self-interest that needs to be espoused with a strategic and much-needed rethink for the way ahead.

Collectivization

Though these terms and the points put-forward in the section above may seem to be contridictory, it is easy to spot the difference between self-interest and enlighted self-interest, a stage through which the world is steadily moving away, and the attempts to ensure collectivization, forced equality as espoused by the communists, the commies, as referred by the Americans, and the common knowledge that if the force applied is external in nature, then what manifests is just the yolk and the egg white, while if the force of germination of life is internal and natural, life emerges from the egg, referred to as ‘Brahmand’ in the Hindu Philosophy, or the way ‘Sanatan Dharma’ was practised. Needless to say, Hinduism needs to reform as well to curb the rot within, as this lead to the degredation of the western civilization to the fullest.

Islam

It is in this context, the rot in Islam which is manifested by the spread of the word of one God,  the strict and constrained intpretation of the one God, in the form of ‘my way or the highway’ is been seen to be playing out in the middle east since the recent past, in the form of the Crusades, which has given rise to ‘militant islam’, a wrong intrepretation of the word of God, and the bloodshed it has led to, is seen playing out even today, with the world grappling with militant islam, wahabism, a concept which has its genesis in the bloodshed will naturally lead to more bloodshed, the brief hope and the budding ‘Arab Spring’, as a desperate call of help, and its interplay which has brought untold misery and suffering to the people in the middle east region, and its consequence that the world is witnessing currently.

Clash of Civilization

With this background that has emerged till now, the clash of civilization is unfolding right in front of our eyes, with different stakeholders and the push and pull between western ethos, militant islam, and the dynamics that are emerging in similar fashions with the false regime of the people in China, with its ‘pith’ to some extent being preserved in Taiwan, the Japanese culture, the region of indo-china (the malacca passage should be seen in this light) is also unfolding as a different dimension of the clash of civilizations. Belt and road project is fine, but when the intention is not pure, any label that one may tend to attach themselves with, will lead to more turmoil and anarchy, manifested in the negative sense.

India as a Melting Pot of Cultures

India stands at a crossroads in context of the above mentioned events, with everyone contributing their own (best and worst), to be seen in near past in the form of islamic invasions (the brunt of which was borne by the northern terrorities), the forced conversion, conscription and what not, India has borne it all. However, the Indian way of life, the Hindu identity, has withstood the attacks to defeat it, and is still standing tall, to some extent, to curb the rot and eventually will rise to defeat the nefarious designs of the impure and all the demagogy involved will not be able to stop it.  Bearing the humiliation and the explotiation unleashed by the colonial and imprialist forces, (be it the British Raj and its remanents), and the fraud and moral corruption, that is still active in the Indian polity, is having a field day at preset, but not for long. The inherent welcoming nature of the Hindu identity, our culture, our ethos of ‘world as a one big family’, places India as a ‘laboratory of human experiment’, and we have been given a chance to redeem ourselves, and give shape to the ‘new world order’.

Oriental Culture and the Far East (China, Japan, Indo-China)

Sane forces in China, Tibet, Japan and Indo-China need to assert their rights and ‘ideology’ asap to set the stage for the eventual “new world order” to stablize. The horrors of the seccond world war, the bloodshed that was unleashed against the people of China (read the student uprising in June 1989), the impreialistic  Japanese role in the second world war and the suffering it brought to the entire region. Nobody has been spared, everyone has suffered, enough innocent blood has been shed, and even the representatives of the Almighty itself, in the form of children, even they have not been spared.

Who is Responsible for The Failure of the American Dream?

American people need to introspect. How did they treat the so called ‘red indians’, how did a maginificent project in the form of the American Dream, which got distorted from its essence, and the resultant chaos and greed that took its place, how this fraud on the American people has been executed, and find ways and means to come out this rut. The ill-effects of the distorted American Dream can be seen everywhere, in the form of the arms race, piting man against man, the dog-eats-dog kind of philosophy, and what unchecked greed can led to.

Way Ahead

The process of healing needs to being now. We have been given a chance, to redeem ourselves, everyone, events have been playing out in the form of plunder of ‘spaceship earth’ resources, and it is in this context that the healing process needs to be initiated. We need to amalgmate the enlighted self-interest in the form of ‘”feedom in its true esscence” and merge it with the common good, and bring forth the ‘golden age’ that would justify the big bang and the existence of the creation itself by the Almighty (Brahman).
