The terrible act of slaughtering of 132 children in an army school in Pakistan by the Taliban is something that cannot be condemned enough with words. I cannot help but fall into the ‘I told you so’ syndrome where this type of tragedy was inevitable in the context of Pakistan. And ironically, this beastly act was carried out the group that calls themselves as the ‘Taliban’ i.e. students. What kind of students are they? Who teaches them? Do they learn that massacring hundreds of students in their school is a tolerable act? Going back to the ‘I told you so’ syndrome, it is something that was inevitable in Pakistan, since they were the ones who nurtured the beasts in the form of Taliban and now they are paying the price, and how dearly!
Instead of indulging in mindless acts of heavy and indiscriminate firing on the border with India, which has no reason at all, the Pakistani forces are stuck in a ‘who cares’ sort of attitude. They already see the entity of Pakistan as something doomed and are caught in a war that they don’t want to fight, and that is why these chaps are unhappy that instead of getting to fire their guns on the eastern front on the border with India, which they were indoctrinated to be their number one enemy, the forces of Pakistan have to fight an unwanted battle in the inhospitable and dangerous FATA (Federally Administered Tribal Areas) where the beast that they fed is most potent and strongest.
Where are the leaders of Pakistan now and cowards like Hazif Syed and Maulana Azhar who vowed jihad against India? There is absolutely no reaction from their side, at least I cannot see any justifiable reaction from them. Such kind of people have only one agenda on their mind, and that is, how to foster the hatred against their neighbor India which they still view as an existential threat. In carrying out their nefarious designs against India and Afghanistan, these people have had scant regard for the suffering of the people of Pakistan and the cost the people in Pakistan have had to pay to nurture these beasts and carry out the so called ‘jihad’ against Hindustan.
As far as the government of Pakistan is concerned, the feeble entity needs to get its act together. They need to show some guts and utilize whatever they have achieved in their more than sixty years of their existence that is the military power of Pakistan. Sadly for them, this military power, which they have built up over the decades on the cost of economic progress and development, now will have to be used for their own survival, from the beast that they themselves fed and nurtured, and now these people will have to see with their own eyes, the military machine not working on some nefarious campaign like Kargil against India, but to save their own souls. With scant disregard for the security of their own people, these fellows in the Pakistani establishment had no afterthoughts when they continued to nurture and arm this very so called Taliban, whom they saw as liberators and men who will devastate the Indian state.
Amidst all such tragic developments, my heart goes out to the people of Pakistan, who have been fed lies and propaganda all through these years, and especially to the near and dear ones of the innocent children in Peshawar, where most of the students who were killed were shot point blank in their head. What kind of people are there in Pakistan, who tolerate such beasts? It is high time for the people of Pakistan to unite and face this scourge of Taliban as a one cohesive collective unit. The government of Pakistan should also get its act together and instead of asking crumbs in the form of economic and military assistance from the western nations, it should focus on the elimination of the scourge of Taliban.
After all, from who the military in Pakistan exists, if it cannot protect its own children in the first place? It is high time for the people of Pakistan also to ask uncomfortable questions to the Pakistani establishment and pressurizing them to act and seek a formidable solution to this menace their government themselves created, and which received their direct or indirect support. The people of the world are united behind the people of Pakistan, and I hope so that the beastly act that Taliban has committed would ultimately prove to be their nemesis, bringing the wrath of all peace loving people in the world against them and now there is no excuse why these beasts, for entities who carry out such inhuman acts cannot be called humans, should not be eliminated ruthlessly.
Pakistan should be up on its own feet now, and everyone, including the western governments and even India, is on their side in fighting this menace of Taliban. However, the government of Pakistan should not fall into old habits of asking bread crumbs in the form of aid and instead equip its military and just fan terror and fan hatred against India, but should take concrete steps so that Pakistani people are freed from the scourge of Taliban as soon as possible. The battle ahead is not going to be easy, but the horror that the Taliban perpetrated on the innocent children has only weakened their cause, and one day will come soon, when Pakistan will again be at peace with itself and with others, and will again become land of the pure, not stained by the blood of innocent children. Amen.
