I was in class XII and Honey was in Class X, boards for us. I was preparing well to do better in Exams. I myself prepared the notes of Physics and Chemistry. Maths coaching I took from our school teacher, Mr.RS Chauhan, a class of eighty students used to sit in the same class for coaching after the school. He used to give us assignments which were important questions. We used to enjoy recipes prepared by those students who had opted for Home Science. We all were PCM students, so whenever we had library and games period, we used to sit in the Biology lab to practice Maths. During that time Lakhmir Singh and Manjeet Kaur reference books were used and they contained a lot of reading material. I and my friends were among the bright students of the class but whenever we had time we used to bunk our geography classes to study Physics and Chemistry.

In the morning I used to get up 4 am to study physics and chemistry and at night from 10-11.30, I used to practice mathematics. Honey was in tenth grade, so if he had difficulties in Science and Maths I was there to solve them but I used to totally ignored Chuttan during that time which was wrong. He was not getting good marks just because of me not paying attention to his studies. Then by end of November I remember, farewell time from school arrived. All my friends were busy in buying new sarees for themselves but the question is from where I would get a new saree? I asked my nani and she bought a new saree for me. I remember when I was in XI grade and we had to give farewell to class XII, XI Science had organized a fashion show and around fifteen boys and girls had presented that fashion show which was a hit. After that fashion show was introduced in our school. One of the Biology student had helped us, he himself was a groom with his girlfriend who is his wife now and is living happily. They both are of different castes and girl’s family opposed their marriage but their love was true and at last they got married. There were so many affairs in that class but all were time pass only.

The days passed and soon we got the date-sheet of our Board Examinations. I prepared the timetable as February started and prepared a schedule for Honey also. My aim was to pass XII with flying colors so that after that I can do specialization in Mathematics. Honey wanted to opt for Commerce stream. By the end of February we were asked to collect our roll numbers. Our center to sit for Exams was in some different school. My mom asked our neighbor to drop us at school in the morning so that we reach the school on time. On the first day of our exam, Honey and I sat on the back seat of the motorbike and when we reached in the market it was crowded. I was afraid and jumped from the bike. When uncle reached a little distance Honey called him that I was not there. Imagine we were going to give our exams and this all happened in the morning only…hahaha. Everyone laughed at home on this episode.
