We used to come alone after the exams were over. We had five subjects in total. By the first week of April, our Exams were over and we were free. In the months of May and June we enjoyed a lot and I had started giving tuitions to children. As my subject was Mathematics, so students started turning up. By last week of June we came to know that result had been put up in school. Because during those the internet was in its infancy and we could only get the detailed result in the school itself. When I reached school, it was crowded. I quickly took out my roll number and started looking for my marks. I had secured a first division. Even Honey also got good result in the Tenth grade. We were asked to collect our mark sheet and migration certificate after ten days or so. After collecting all documents from school it was a big hunt for college. Which one to choose and where would I get the admission in B.Sc? It was compulsory to sit for entrance examination during that time. I had given the exam in three colleges. I was satisfied that I would get admission in one of them.
There was a girl’s college also but Maths was not there as a subject and they had a uniform which I hated to wear in those college years. Providence helped me and automatically I was saved in taking admission there. After a week Raju, Biji’s grandson went to all three colleges to check if my name was there in the list. But he was surprised that I didn’t get admission in any of the colleges. Now what could I do? I didn’t want to leave Science stream also. One of my friend told me that she took admission in a college which is around 20 km from my place. Now in a hurry I took the decision and I also went with Babu to take admission there only. And after a month or so Babu told me that my name was displayed in waiting list in two of the colleges. He was annoyed that I didn’t even asked him before I selected my college.
When I asked my other friends, most of them went to same college only, mine was different where I didn’t had any common friends. Now everything was new, new college, new place, new teachers, new route, and a new journey. I don’t know what God had planned for me. But I believed that it was going to be good only if He had planned up.
