Life is full of ups and downs. Whatever we have planned does not go as we anticipate. God has already planned something different which we cannot assume before it is unfolding in front of our eyes.

The very next day people were visiting our home. Mummy was speechless as she was a statue with no answers to give, eyes were red, swollen as the dreams will never come in those eyes. The body was weak and tired. Honey was totally lost and Chuttan was not able to understand what has happened. My mind and my heart was searching for the answers of my questions. I had never seen so many people giving advice in all forms. I was not able to judge them in any category.

People were talking that he must have saved so much for his children that they need not to worry about their future. We were also not aware of all this as we were very young at that time. One of my father’s colleague Aggarwal Uncle was asking my mother not to reveal any account statement to anyone. Even don’t disclose about your jewellery which you have. My father had bought a house around 20 km from this place in which Aggarwal uncle was the mediator. So he said that he will take the documents from the previous owner and would hand it over to my mother. The person from whom daddy bought the house also met my mother and assured her that he would give the keys to mummy only and would transfer the papers on her name. He was a nice fellow and fulfilled his promise. But Aggarwal Uncle was so smart that He began to show his true colours. After news came via telegram all our near and dear ones specially from maternal side came to be a part of our grief and to console us and to give us strength.

After the ceremony of rasam pagdi everyone left and nani was with us for some time. The death certificate was arranged by Jagdeep bhaiya who is our true friend, philosopher and guide. The other documents were arranged by advocate, when nani went with mummy. Mummy was introvert, she didn’t knew anything about any of daddy’s accounts. I and nani searched for dad’s cheque books to locate his bank accounts. After some time nani also left. Now we four were alone.  The struggle was about to begin. Let’s see how?
